Lecturer (Grade II), Department of Social Work
Kalindu Rathnayaka is a dedicated academic currently serving as a Lecturer at the National Institute of Social Development (NISD), Sri Lanka. He previously held the position of Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Geography at the University of Kelaniya. Kalindu earned his Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Geography with First Class from the University of Kelaniya in 2019 and holds a Master of Arts in Geography from the same institution. He is presently pursuing a Master of Social Work at NISD. With a strong interdisciplinary foundation, he has completed specialized diploma programs in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing (USJP), Human Resource Management (IMBS), and English (BWEA). His research interests encompass Human Geography, Climate Smart Agriculture, Climatology, Climate Change, Agricultural Geography, Settlement Geography, Social Work, and Development Studies. Kalindu is committed to advancing academic knowledge and practical applications in these areas through innovative research and teaching.
