Mrs. A. M. Kanchana Adhikari

Mrs. A. M. Kanchana Lakmini Adhikari currently serves as a Lecturer within the Psychology and Counseling Department at the esteemed National Institute of Social Development. Her academic journey includes the attainment of her Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Sociology Special Degree with Second Class Honors (Upper Division)) degree from the University of Colombo and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the National Institute of Social Development. In addition to her extensive educational background, Mrs. Adhikari has further enriched her qualifications with a Diploma in Counseling from the National Institute of Social Development and a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of Colombo. Commencing her professional career she joined University of Colombo as an Assistant lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo and served for two years. Mrs. Adhikari then joined National Institute of Social Development as a Training officer in 2013, and she has been an actively engaged Lecturer in TOTs conducted by the Training Division of National Institute of Social Development. Her significant contributions extend across multiple academic domains, including psychology, counseling, social work, and social science, impacting Sri Lankan society. Furthermore, Mrs. Adhikari has showcased her expertise on both national and international platforms through active participation in conferences, where she has made valuable contributions to the respective fields.
