Mrs. B.A. Niluka Priyadarshani Wijebandara

Mrs. B.A. Niluka Priyadarshani Wijebandara currently serves as a Lecturer II within the Psychology and Counseling Department at the esteemed National Institute of Social Development. Her academic journey includes the attainment of her undergraduate degree from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Kelaniya, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the National Institute of Social Development. In addition to her extensive educational background, Mrs. Wijebandara has further enriched her qualifications with a Diploma in Counseling from the National Institute of Social Development and a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of Colombo. Notably, she has also completed a certificate course in research from the Open University of Sri Lanka. Commencing her professional career at the National Institute of Social Development as a Research Assistant in 2012, Mrs. Wijebandara has been an actively engaged participant in various research initiatives conducted by the institution’s Social Development Policy, Research, and Publication Division. Her significant contributions extend across multiple academic domains, including psychology, counseling, social work, and social science, impacting Sri Lankan society. Furthermore, Mrs. Wijebandara has showcased her expertise on both national and international platforms through active participation in conferences, where she has made valuable contributions to the respective fields.
