Orientation Programme for BSW (Hons) 2023/2024 Batch

The orientation programme for the Bachelor of Social Work (Hons) 2023/2024 batch took place from the 12th to the 16th of August, 2024. This event marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey for a new group of students dedicated to making a positive impact in society. This year, 150 students from diverse backgrounds, representing all three mediums of instruction, were selected to embark on this degree programme.

Over the course of five days, the program featured a series of insightful speeches, orientation sessions, and interactive workshops designed to inspire and equip students for the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in the field of Social Work. The sessions were carefully curated to provide a comprehensive introduction to the values, ethics, and practical skills essential to their future roles as social workers.

The event was also an opportunity for students to connect with faculty, meet their peers, and begin building the supportive community that will accompany them throughout their studies. The orientation concluded with a sense of enthusiasm and commitment, setting a strong foundation for the academic year ahead.
