The NISD Student Welfare Centre is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers students to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. Our mission is to provide comprehensive welfare services, guidance, and resources to enhance the overall well-being of students, equipping them with the skills and resilience needed for a successful and fulfilling life.

Objectives

⦁ To ensure the efficient provision of welfare services to students.
⦁ To offer comprehensive guidance and counseling to students and the general public.
⦁ To create a healthy, joyful, and educative environment for students by encouraging their active participation in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
⦁ To develop and promote recreational activities for students.

Functions

⦁ Facilitate scholarship disbursements, including Mahapola, bursary, and other scholarships.
⦁ Assist students in obtaining loans for essential items such as laptops and season tickets.
⦁ Manage accommodation, canteen services, and other facilities, including photocopying, printouts, and stationeries.
⦁ Provide career guidance services to help students make informed decisions about their future.
⦁ Offer counseling services for both students and the general public, addressing a wide range of concerns.
⦁ Provide basic first aid services to ensure the immediate well-being of students.
⦁ Manage and support student unions and societies to promote a vibrant campus community.
⦁ Organize student awareness programs on relevant issues to enhance their knowledge and social responsibility.
