
Research Study on Mobilizing Resident and Institutional Capacities for Sustainable Rehabilitation: The Study of Ridiyagama Kalana Detention and Rehabilitation Home, Sri Lanka
The National Institute of Social Development (NISD), through its Social Development Policy, Research and Publications Division, conducted a study titled “Mobilizing Resident and Institutional Capacities for Sustainable Rehabilitation: The Study of Ridiyagama Kalana Detention and Rehabilitation Home, Sri Lanka.” The research focuses on enhancing residents’ psychological development and developing a comprehensive institutional and Social Work intervention model to support sustainable rehabilitation, effective service coordination, and long-term institutional improvement.
The study report was officially handed over to the Hon. Minister Dr. Upali Pannilage, the Secretary Mr. Samapath Manthrinayake, and Ms. Darshani Karunarathne, Director of the Department of Social Services, by Professor Premakumara de Silva, Director General of NISD, together with Dr. Keerthi Jayawardena, Senior Research Officer of the Research Division, NISD.
