We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the workshop on Introduction to Gender Studies and Workshop on Introduction to Gender Studies and Gender Equity & Gender Equality held on December 8, 2024. Led by Dr. Anusha Edirisinghe, Senior Lecturer at the University of Kelaniya, the workshop provided participants with a strong foundation in gender theories, concepts, and practical frameworks. Dr. Edirisinghe’s presentations sparked engaging discussions on gender representation and dynamics in various social, cultural, and institutional settings. The workshop aimed to raise awareness of gender roles, identities, and the power structures shaping them, while highlighting the challenges and opportunities in promoting gender equality across different sectors.
